640K Decrypted PlayStation Accounts for sale on a market

A seller named “SunTzu583” offering for sale 640,000 decrypted hacked PlayStation accounts on TheRealDeal marketplace. We all know that all the hacked data will end up somewhere in the darkweb but surprisingly these accounts were completely decrypted and in plain text.

A few days before, Youku: A Chinese Video Service Giant was Hacked; More than 100 Million Accounts were sold on DarkWeb. These weren’t encrypted databases however. The PlayStation Accounts contained Email ID's and Passwords and could used anywhere related to PlayStation Activities.

Anyone with access to these emails and passwords can easily login to the related websites and cause some havoc or spam or anything else. I’ll leave it to your imagination. Like the previous gaming hacks, many gaming forums were the victims of these attacks and bleed potential data about their users.

SunTzu583” is selling 640,000 accounts of PlayStation users for USD 35.71.

According to SunTzu583, the database is not directly from PlayStation servers. It might have originated from any 3rd party forum or service. Back in August 2016, a GTAGaming.com forum centered based on the PC game “Grand Theft Auto” was hacked.

The top seasonal music and art festival, Coachella website was also hacked. Hacker gained access to a bunch of user’s personal data and are exposed on the dark web for sale.
